Digital is a modern approach to creating, arranging, and producing songs. The group, founded by John Riley and Glenn Strother, embraces musical technology and creates a sound that is as organic as it is electronic. Live drums, tubed guitar amps, and electric basses combine with the new age sounds of synthetic basses, strings, and keyboards, to ensure both a high quality studio product and an exciting live show. Although the repetitive nature of electronic music exists with Digital, the songs are overshadowed with classical forms and melodic ideas. As a band, Digital does not use computers to define their sound, the musicians define the sound. Every song and every tracks is recorded digitally and is performed by a live musician.
Fourth River is one of Pittsburgh’s finest up and coming grassroots bands. Appropriately named after the subterranean aquifer, Fourth River’s music streams from the Pittsburgh underground quenching the euphonious tastes of new fans with every performance.
Formed in the winter of 2005, Fourth River came to be when Bill Smith and Aaron Bennett (formerly of Patchwork Blu) contacted drummer Keith Ruffing (formerly of Pied Piper) to start a new project. Along with guitarist Shawn "Spar" Speer (Gruvbak) and newly relocated percussionist Pat Stehley (Pavlov's Roomate) the band discovered their common musical interests quickly. After the release of their first self titled album in the fall of 2007, Spar stepped down from the band and Pete Belski stepped in to fill his shoes. With the lineup solidified, Fourth River has made a very quick and favorable impression on the local Pittsburgh scene. Influenced by grassroots jam giants like the Grateful Dead, Phish, and others, and coupled with pure admiration of traditional jazz and seventies R&B, Fourth River creates an eclectic, unique and original style of music that you won’t want to miss.

Fronted by husband and wife tandem Bud (acoustic guitar/vocals) and Melanie Wilshire (mandolin/vocals) the brother-in-law and sister of Kevin and Jodie are returning to FJL with a fresh repertoire of roots-rock chestnuts and newly penned originals. Providing the backbeat for the second straight year will be Doug Schneider - Kevin and Jodie’s other brother-in-law – and the drummer for NY’s Greetings From Anywhere. Come out to hear one of the great voices of Clarion county - Bud’s vocal tone has been described by critics as Lou Reed-esque with a dash of Cash – and stay tuned for a special guest announcement coming shortly.

Karmic Juggernaut was formed in the autumn of 2004 with guitarist Randy Preston, former Universal Mind members Kevin Grossman (drums) and James McCaffrey (guitar), and mutual friend/bassist Marcus Morieko. Morieko left in late August '08 and was replaced by bass extraordinaire Andrew Black, solidifying the Karmic lineup. Based on the premise of organic music without boundaries, they have spent the last five years creating their own unique sound; a tasty blend of all aspects of the musical palette. Combining elements of psychedelic and progressive rock, funk, jazz, blues, world music, and a constantly developing array of other influences, K-Juggs stands as an experiment into sonic experience. The quartet has already shared the stage with acts such as moe., Keller Williams, Gongzilla, Perpetual Groove, Lotus, UMelt, and State Radio, while playing throughout the Northeast. In 2009, they were included in Relix Magazine's October issue, Comcast's Bands on Demand program, and on Keller's Cellar, Keller Williams' syndicated radio program.

Authentic, confident, refreshing, natural, the real deal; these are just a few of the words used to describe The Rustlanders self-titled debut album and live show. The first thing people often notice about The Rustlanders is how they combine their influences into a unique new sound. Rock, Country, Blues, and R&B, all combine to make good ol’ Rock n’ Roll in the traditions of The Band, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, and Tom Petty. Their current release, simply called The Rustlanders, is being heard around the world and has been receiving rave reviews in both the U.S. and Europe. The Rustlanders live show has been receiving the same acclaim as they make their way, city by city, across the country.
There are plenty of people who might claim that the "Golden Age" of American soul music is long behind us. Long gone are the Otis Reddings, the Sly Stones, and the Same Cookes. White People feel that it is their personal responsibility to change that. Bringing their own form of "Garage Soul" out of Pittsburgh, PA, White People is a group of versatile and tight knit musicians laying down grooves filled with horn pops and hand claps.
They bang out funky deep-fried rhythm and blues tunes with an attitude - the product fo musicians raised on rock n' roll but whose heads really turned the first time they heard a James Brown record. Writing concise, catchy songs, they manage to keep the audience singing along while avoiding the easily disposable qualities of contemporary pop music. Touring throughout the East Coast and Midwest, they continue to make people's feet move and hips shake.
